I use PLA filament in my 3D impressions. PLA is a fancy word for a plant based plastic. Here’s the long definition: PLA (Polylactic Acid) is a popular, renewable, and biodegradable plant-based plastic derived from fermented starch, typically corn, cassava, or sugarcane. Known for its versatility in packaging and 3D printing, it offers a lower carbon footprint than traditional plastics but requires industrial composting to degrade efficiently. Produced from renewable plant sugars (corn starch, sugarcane).
